Good day. My name is Cres Lake and I would like to answer the questions provided below so that you may get a chance to hear the responses from me personally.
As an overall or let's say a catch-all "title for me"… let's call me a "Life Coach" due to the fact that I provide several different types of modalities. During my 20 plus years in practice…I found out that it wasn't about the treatment for the client… it was all about the client. That one mold does not fit every person.
So to answer the initial question: How does your service stand out?
I would say that my services stand out because I focus 100% on the client… and on what works for that individual.
Services I provide:
Well, I provide a broad range of coaching… from Life Hacking, Bio Hacking, Life Coaching, Relationship Coaching, Career Coaching, work-life balance coaching, Spirituality Coaching, Meditation, Reiki, Hypnotherapy, and NLP - just to name a few. I also teach Meditation, Reiki and Self-Hypnosis. I am a firm believer in teaching someone to fish instead of providing the fish - so you will find that I focus on empowering each individual with resources so that they can continue to work on themselves.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
Question number two: What do you enjoy about the work you do?
I enjoy the people. Period. I find each person I meet so unique and fascinating. I love to hear their story and how they want to fix it. And the best part of all is being there when those individuals create the story of their life "as they chose" and seeing the results - you get to see happiness in so many different ways and at so many different levels.
I love to see others create the story of their life "as they chose" and seeing the results--happiness in so many different ways and at so many different levels.
Question number three: What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't have a typical process… I mean how can I have a typical process when each person's needs are unique.
I do have it where my initial phone or video conferencing consultation is free. It takes about 20-30 minutes and during that time I listen to what is needed by the client and in turn will ask additional questions. I also have questionnaires and forms required prior to the initial consultation. It is a lot of information, but it assists me greatly in assessing the client's required needs and goals. Why short the client…I mean - let's get everything out on the table and then strategically see what we can do. Right? Then based on the goals and services the client would like, which we will discuss in length, I will the provide a game plan and proposal for the project. I am quite flexible due to technology today and I usually can work out a process for the client that is result producing and financially workable.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Question number four: What education and / or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in practiced for 20 plus years. I am certified in each of the modalities that I utilize - if a certification is available. I am an avid learner; I enjoy learning new techniques that will improve my practice and assist my clients. I am always exploring new modalities that my clients recommend, and over the last twenty years diving deep into the sub-fields that have developed within these modalities. I am always learning something new.
I am a Certified Life Coach, encompassing the coaching fields mentioned prior, I am also a Registered and Certified Hypnotherapist (initially I started my practice working with Psychiatrists and therapists). I am certified in NLP, which is Neuro-Linguistic Programming - like the techniques Tony Robbin uses, and I am a Reiki and Mediation Master. I also integrate nutrition, self-hypnosis and education.
Question number five: Do you have a standard pricing system for your service?
As mentioned prior, my pricing system is based on the services the client would like and how much the client would like to work on. The best way to get a good feel on the projected cost would be to take advantage of my Free initial phone or video conferencing consultation.
But to provide a range, my services can be anywhere from $75 to $210 an hour. Usually a proposal is presented to my clients, sharing with them what I would recommend - a strategy - knowing that an agile model will be needed (things change with time) and then we review the proposal together - adjusting as needed - time-wise, convenience and financially.
I also have for ongoing clients monthly packages that they can take advantage of…
Question number six: How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved people and always love helping people, and that is probably why I found myself working for a Psychological firm. During my time there, we discovered that I have an innate ability with hypnosis and they assisted me to get my credentials. And that is where it all started… 20 something years ago.
Question number seven: What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types… from children to adults, couples, athletes, celebrities, entrepreneurs…
Question number eight: Describe a recent project you are fond of….how long did it take?
That is a tough question. I love challenges and there have been a lot of great people I have worked with. But the one that first comes to mind is a project that is still a "Work in Progress." And it has been a wonderful and exciting ride this client. I have been working with a young man who kept setting himself up with the wrong people, the wrong friendships, the wrong relationships, the wrong jobs….all wrong ideas - and bad decisions (those are his words by the way). And initially he could barely afford to pay for coaching but we connected and figured out something that worked for him and got him started. And he did the work - I mean he really worked hard for the life he wanted and he changed everything about himself - I mean EVERYTHING. Completely recreated himself and he is still going strong. We still meet when new life challenges present themselves, like marriage…like a baby, but as a team we have never stopped collaborating. I am very proud of him!
Question number nine: What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost - look for a connection. Then look for someone that is open-minded / non-judgmental. And able to provide you with the resources needed for you to succeed. Don't forget that the only person that can change you is you! Every person is so different and one process or modality will not work for everyone. So find what works for you…
Question number ten: What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That is an excellent question and that is why I provide questionnaires. I would request that they focus on what they want for the future… what their gut wants them to do - and then go backwards to determine the needed steps.
